Super Eagles: Kelechi Iheanacho Shares His Thoughts After Winning the SPFL Trophy with Celtic

Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho celebrated after securing his first trophy with Celtic, according to Afrik Foot.

The 29‑year‑old joined the Hoops from Sevilla last summer following the termination of his contract with the Spanish club. He began his Scottish spell strongly, but hamstring injuries caused him to miss a place in the starting XI.

Iheanacho netted key goals leading up to the SPFL title decider against Hearts, including a 99th‑minute winner against Motherwell earlier in the season.

What Kelechi Iheanacho said after winning the SPFL with Celtic

The former Manchester City forward entered the match as a substitute in the second half, after Arne Engel equalised from the penalty spot just before the break.

Iheanacho had two near misses at Celtic Park, both striking the woodwork.

Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmand subsequently scored, securing Celtic’s 56th Scottish Premiership title under manager Martin O’Neill.
