Serie A: Okoye Named to Player of the Month Shortlist

Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been named a nominee for the Serie A Player of the Month award for May, reports DAILY POST.

Okoye earned the nomination after delivering strong performances for the Zebras throughout the month.

The 26‑year‑old kept two clean sheets in two league matches for Kosta Runjaic’s side during the period under review.

So far this season, the shot‑stopper has recorded 10 clean sheets in 28 league appearances for Udinese.

Udinese are also on a two‑game winning streak.

Other players shortlisted for the award include Armand Lauriente (Sassuolo), Donyell Malen (AS Roma), Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan), Tijjani Noslin (Lazio), and Dusan Vlahović (Juventus).
