Rivers Speaker Amaewhule Thanks Wike After Winning APC Primary

Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, thanked his political mentor, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, for his support.

He posted the statement on his official Facebook page on Sunday morning.

According to DAILY POST, the Speaker, who is running for the Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency seat in Rivers State, secured the APC nomination on Saturday.

The statement reads, “I give huge thanks to God Almighty for his grace and favour in my life. It was Him yesterday! It is Him today! It will be Him forever!”

“I must also add that I lack enough words to express my gratitude to my political leader—H.E. Excellency, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON—for his fatherly role in my political career over the years. May the good Lord continue to bless him and his family.”

“I would never take his support for granted. He has remained a great helper. My leader, thank you for all you do for me. I say so with all my heart.”

The Speaker also thanked the people of Obio/Akpor, affirming that he will not take their confidence in him for granted. He expressed gratitude to his Rivers constituents for their prayers and support.

“Will I ever forget my dependable colleagues? No, I won’t. Members of the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly hold a special place in my heart. I thank them immensely for believing in me and standing by me.”
