According to reports received by DAILY POST from Yobe State, five of the six incumbent House of Representatives members contesting under the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured their return tickets, while one failed to win the primary for the Green Chamber seat held by the APC across the state.
The incumbent, Hon. Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, who has represented the Damaturu–Gujba–Gulani–Tarmuwa Federal Constituency since 2007, was replaced by Hon. Nasiru Hassan Yusuf as the APC’s consensus candidate.
She is the widow of former state governor Alhaji Bukar Abba Ibrahim.


The other five members who emerged as the APC’s consensus candidates are: Hon. Engr. Muhammad Buba Jajere of Fika/Fune Federal Constituency; Hon. Fatima Talba of Potiskum/Nangere Federal Constituency; Hon. Lawan Shettima Ali of Gaidam/Yunusari/Bursari Federal Constituency; Hon. Zanna Zakariya of Yusufari/Nguru/Machina Federal Constituency; and Hon. Hassan Kaikaku Jakduwa of Bade/Jakusko Federal Constituency.
At the time of this report, the APC in Yobe State had not yet formally announced the consensus candidates.
