IGP Disu launches nationwide campaign to combat cultism and drug abuse

The Inspector‑General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has inaugurated a nationwide effort to combat cultism and related social vices under the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

In a statement issued on Sunday, Force Public Relations Officer CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu explained that the campaign will roll out across all State Commands and target cultism, drug abuse, violent crime, and other harmful behaviors by means of grassroots awareness, early intervention, and community participation.

He further noted that the initiative will collaborate with schools, local communities, religious bodies, and other stakeholders to foster positive values, shield young people from criminal influences, and reinforce preventive policing throughout the country.
