APC rejects alleged primary results on social media as false

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports claiming to announce the results of its primaries, labeling them as fabricated.

A public notice released on Sunday stated that the party had not published an official list of primary winners and cautioned members and the public against trusting unauthorised sources.

The disclaimer, signed by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, was posted on the party’s official X account.

“The public is therefore advised to disregard any publication or report purporting to announce the outcome of the primaries, as such information is false and unauthorised,” the statement read.

According to the party, successful candidates will receive official notifications via its recognised communication channels prior to the issuance of Certificates of Return. It also urged members, stakeholders, and the public to depend only on official APC channels for updates about the primary results.
