Alexx Ekubo buried in Abia amid tears

NOLlywood actor Alexx Ekubo was buried in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State, with mourners shedding tears.

The Daily Post reports that Ekubo died on May 11, 2026, at the age of 40, following a battle with kidney cancer.

The wake began on Wednesday in Ujari Village, Arochukwu.

The funeral service took place on Thursday at Mary Slessor School in Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, after which the body was interred at his family compound.

Colleagues and friends offered tributes before the final burial.

Ekubo had featured in numerous Nollywood films and was known for his philanthropic work.
