Nigerian content creator Officer Woos has denied that he announced the death of his colleague, Broda Shaggy.

Daily Post reports that an X user, Ghost91on, claimed two days ago that Officer Woos, a close associate of Broda Shaggy, had announced the death in an Instagram post.

Ghost91on wrote, as he shared Broda Shaggy’s picture, “Officer woos just announced the passed away of his brother broda shaggi vis his ig page. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

Responding to the viral post, Officer Woos shared a screenshot of the post on his Instagram story and simply wrote “false.”

Versed Attorneys, Officer Woos’s legal representatives, issued a statement on his behalf.

“We act as Solicitors to Mr. Jubril bril Oladapo Gbadamosi alias ‘Officer Woos’ (‘our Client’), a respected content creator and public figure, and write this statement in response to false and malicious publications currently circulating on social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter).”

“It has come to Client’s attention that certain unverified and anonymous social media pages have published claims alleging that our Client publicly announced the death of a close colleague on his official page.”

“Our client has never announced the death of any colleague, friend, or associate on any of his platforms. These publications are entirely manufactured and constitute a deliberate attempt to misinform the public,” it said.

The content creator also threatened legal action against all individuals responsible for the publication.

Daily Post reports that speculation about Broda Shaggy’s death began three months after he was shot while filming at the Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun state in March 2026.

Since the incident, Broda Shaggy has not addressed the public about what happened.
