Nancy Isime: Marrying a Poor Man Won’t Make You Happy.

Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has expressed her views on the influence of finances in relationships and marriages.

She stated that marrying a partner with limited financial means does not guarantee a woman a fulfilling life.

In a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, Isime explained that financial strain can deprive low‑income couples of the joy of marriage and family life.

“Marriage is not a poverty alleviation scheme but I don’t believe marrying a poor man can make you happy.”

“When rent is due, school fees can’t be paid and there is no food in the house, it is difficult to have a fantastic life.”

“I am not saying there is no love without money. But love and fantastic life are not the same,” she said.

She urged couples to achieve a certain level of financial stability before marrying and starting a family.
