Nigeria’s U‑17 national team, known as the Flamingos, beat Dream Star Ladies 3‑0 in a friendly match held at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne on Saturday.
The game was part of the Flamingos’ preparation for the 2026 FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against the Benin Republic.
It was the team’s first training match since arriving in Ikenne for the final round of the qualifiers.

Mary Dunstan opened the scoring for the Flamingos in the 24th minute.
Akeem Busari’s side added two more goals in the second half, with Queen Joseph and Oluwakemi Adegbuyi finding the net.
Nigeria will host Benin’s Young Amazons in the first leg of the tie at the Remo Stars Sports Complex on Saturday, 4 July.
The return fixture will take place at the Stade de Kegue in Lome one week later.
