Super Eagles winger Moses Simon could be set for a new role at Paris FC next season following the arrival of a former Chelsea head coach, Afrik-Foot reports.

The Nigerian winger joined the French club last summer after leaving fellow Ligue 1 side Nantes and quickly became an integral part of the team. He featured in 29 matches across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing three assists as the club secured promotion to Ligue 1.

However, the 30-year-old could now be preparing to work under a new manager, with former Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior expected to replace Antoine Kombouaré ahead of the new campaign.

According to reports from France, the Englishman is set to sign a two-year contract and will officially take charge of Paris FC for next season.

Rosenior arrives in the French capital after a disappointing spell at Chelsea. He was appointed in January to replace Enzo Maresca but lasted only a few months before being dismissed following a difficult run of results.

Now, the former Strasbourg boss has the opportunity to make a fresh start at Paris FC as he looks to establish the newly promoted side in Ligue 1.

Rosenior: How Super Eagles star could fit in under ex-Chelsea boss

Liam Rosenior is no stranger to French football, having previously managed Strasbourg before his move to Chelsea, and it is largely because of the impressive work he did there that Paris FC have turned to him.

During his time at Strasbourg, Rosenior developed a clear tactical identity. His teams relied heavily on energetic wide players who pressed aggressively without the ball, while also giving them the freedom to carry possession forward, attack defenders and create chances in transition.

That approach could suit Simon perfectly. The Super Eagles star excels in one-on-one situations, where his pace, close control and dribbling ability allow him to beat defenders consistently.

Rosenior’s attacking system would likely give him plenty of opportunities to exploit those strengths, making him a dangerous outlet on the flank.

Simon is not only an attacking threat but also a very hardworking attacker. He regularly tracks back to support his full-back, putting in the defensive work for the team during games.

Those qualities should make him an excellent fit for Rosenior’s high-intensity style, which demands commitment both in and out of possession.

Although he is naturally a winger, the Nigerian is also capable of operating as a wing-back when required. If Rosenior decides to use the three-at-the-back system he occasionally favoured during his time at Strasbourg, Simon would thrive in that role and his ability to play in multiple positions would increase his chances of playing regularly..

Simon will be hoping to establish himself as one of Rosenior’s key players as Paris FC prepare for a new beginning next season.
