President Federation Cup:Dogo Confident El-kanemi Will Overcome Ikorodu City In Final

El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser Kabiru Dogo has declared his side ready for the President Federation Cup final against Ikorodu City, reports Completesports.com.

The Maiduguri-based club will take on Ikorodu City in the final at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Saturday, 11 July.

El-Kanemi Warriors will be aiming to lift the prestigious trophy for a fourth time, while Ikorodu City are set to make their first-ever appearance in the competition’s final.

The Desert Warriors began preparations for the decisive encounter on Tuesday morning with a training session at the Police College Football Field in Maiduguri.

Dogo Sure Of Victory

Dogo expressed confidence in his team’s preparations and believes they will be ready to rise to the occasion when they face the Lagos-based side in Asaba

“I want to once again thank our fans for their prayers and support. The Maiduguri fans are amazing, they are truly loving people with great hospitality. It is a great honour to coach El-Kanemi Warriors, as I always say whenever I am interviewed,” Dogo told the club’s media.

“We are going to Delta State with our heads held high. The cup is ours, In Sha Allah. We are going there with a mission, and by the grace of Allah, we will deliver. El-Kanemi Warriors will soon bounce back from the disappointment of relegation.

“I urge our supporters to continue bearing with us. We are human beings, and we make mistakes, but mistakes are meant to be corrected. What you are seeing from us in the President Federation Cup shows that we were simply unfortunate to be relegated. These are the same players who competed in the Premier League and are now proving their quality in the Federation Cup.

“Once again, I sincerely thank the Government of Borno State, the club’s management, and the loyal supporters of El-Kanemi Warriors FC for their continuous support.”
