OWERRI – Most Rev. Daddy Hezekiah, founder of Living Christ Mission Incorporated, has urged Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to stop the demolition of traders’ shops in various parts of the state.
The appeal came while Hezekiah was speaking at his ancestral home in Umugara, Nkwerre, Imo State, where he warned that the demolitions were deepening the economic hardship of many residents.
Hezekiah specifically cited the removal of shops in Onitsha and nearby areas, describing the action as detrimental to livelihoods and local businesses.
In addition, the cleric called on federal authorities to intensify efforts to address insecurity nationwide, arguing that current measures are inadequate.
He stressed that insecurity hampers national development and urged the government to adopt technology‑driven, intelligence‑based strategies to combat banditry, kidnapping and related crimes.
Hezekiah also highlighted the need for modern security tools such as surveillance systems and tracking technologies to be deployed more effectively against criminal activity.
Furthermore, Hezekiah praised Governor Hope Uzodimma for the road infrastructure improvements in Nkwerre Local Government Area, particularly the Nkwerre–Umudi road project.
