Golden Eaglets to compete in China Invitational Tournament

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are set to compete in an invitational tournament in China next week as part of their build‑up for the WAFU B U‑17 Championship.

The former world champions began their preparations in Abuja last week on Tuesday, with coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere at the helm.

Most of the squad were chosen from last year’s FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) U‑15 program.

The team is expected to be trimmed down after the China tournament.

Burkina Faso will host the WAFU B U‑17 Championship in November.

The competition will act as the qualifier for the 2027 Africa U‑17 Cup of Nations.
