Arsenal confirm signing of Piero Hincapie in transfer deal

Arsenal announced on Thursday that Piero Hincapie will join the Premier League club on a permanent basis.

The 24‑year‑old arrived on loan from Bayer Leverkusen last season and played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s title‑winning campaign.

During his loan spell, Hincapie appeared in 39 matches across all competitions, cementing his place in Mikel Arteta’s defensive line‑up.

The club’s statement read, “We are delighted to have activated the option to make Piero Hincapie’s transfer to us permanent from July 1.”
