Real Madrid have exercised the option to activate Nico Paz’s €9 million buy‑back clause.
Paz spent last season on loan at Serie A club Como.
However, the Italian side would now have to pay up to €60 million if they wish to sign the midfielder permanently.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move on his X account on Thursday.
Romano wrote: “Real Madrid officially inform Como that they have activated the €9 million buy‑back clause for Nico Páz.
Nico returns, and the club gives Como the chance to purchase him for €60 million from now until Monday.
Otherwise, next week Nico will be back at Real Madrid – and on the market again for more than €60 million.”
