Neymar tells Messi he cares deeply ahead of the 2026 World Cup

Brazil forward Neymar has expressed that he cares deeply about Argentina captain Lionel Messi.

The Santos star spoke to the DSPORTS channel following Brazil’s World Cup match against Scotland on Wednesday.

During the interview, the 34‑year‑old also sent birthday wishes to Messi, who turned 39 at the national team’s training camp on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media after the match, Neymar said of Messi, “He is excellent on the field, and even better off the field.”

“He is a very good friend of mine, and he knows I care about him very much.”

Neymar and Messi previously played together at Barcelona and Paris Saint‑Germain.
