Cristiano Ronaldo secured his first major trophy with Al Nassr by scoring twice in a decisive 4–1 win over Damac on the season’s final day, clinching the Saudi Pro League title.
The Portuguese star delivered when it mattered most, netting Al Nassr’s last two goals as the Riyadh club captured its first league crown since 2019, ending a seven‑year wait for domestic success.
Ronaldo’s brace capped a dramatic title race that had come down to the final match after Al Nassr had conceded a stoppage‑time equaliser against Al Hilal a week earlier.
Sadio Mané and Kingsley Coman had initially given Al Nassr a comfortable lead before Morlaye Sylla briefly reduced the deficit for Damac.
Ronaldo then took control, scoring from a tight‑angle free‑kick and adding a close‑range finish to spark emotional celebrations among Al Nassr supporters.
For Ronaldo, the triumph marks a major milestone since his arrival in Saudi Arabia in January 2023, a move that attracted global attention.
The 41‑year‑old had faced criticism after several near misses in domestic and continental competitions, including last weekend’s painful AFC Champions League final defeat to Gamba Osaka.
However, the five‑time Ballon d’Or winner responded in trademark fashion by leading Al Nassr to the biggest prize in Saudi football.
Ronaldo has now scored 127 goals for Al Nassr across all competitions and continues his remarkable march toward the 1,000‑career‑goal milestone with goals number 972 and 973 against Damac.
The title‑winning campaign also saw Ronaldo score his 100th Saudi Pro League goal earlier this month, further underlining his impact in the Middle East.
