Sunderland captain Granit Xhaka may be heading to Chelsea this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Blues reportedly want to sign the Swiss midfielder.
However, Sunderland insists that Xhaka is not for sale and claims it has not received any offers.
Xhaka previously played alongside new Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen, and Alonso is reportedly looking to bring in players with proven Premier League experience.
With Xhaka turning 34 in September, Chelsea would likely be cautious about paying a high transfer fee.
He remains under contract at the Stadium of Light until 2028, but is said to be eager to reunite with Alonso and join a new project.
Sunderland signed him for £13 million last summer, and he played a key role in helping the club stay in the Premier League.
