WAFU U-20 Tournament: Chelle Urges Flying Eagles to Stay Focused and Disciplined

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has called on Nigeria’s U-20 squad, the Flying Eagles, to stay focused as they ramp up preparations for next month’s WAFU B U-20 Championship in Côte d'Ivoire, according to Completesports.com.

He delivered the message during a visit to the squad at Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Friday morning.

The visit followed the Flying Eagles’ emphatic 5-0 win over Bussdor United in a preparatory friendly.

The match was part of the team’s build‑up to the regional competition.

Chelle Tasks Flying Eagles Players

Speaking to the players, Chelle emphasized the need for discipline and commitment on their path to success.

“If you want to succeed and go far in achieving your dreams, you must remain focused,” Chelle said.

“Secondly, listen attentively to your coaches. If you do these things, the sky will only be your starting point, and your chances of succeeding will be very high.”

Following his remarks, Flying Eagles head coach Abdu Maikaba thanked the Super Eagles’ gaffer for the visit
and added that the team is focused on delivering a strong performance at the upcoming regional tournament.

The Flying Eagles are slated to keep preparing over the coming weeks in anticipation of the competition in Côte d'Ivoire.
