Ogenyi expresses disappointment over Wikki Tourists’ exit from the President’s Federation Cup.

Evans Ogenyi, the technical adviser of Wikki Tourists, expressed disappointment after his side failed to reach the final of the 2026 President Federation Cup.

The Bauchi Elephants were knocked out in the semi‑final by El‑Kanemi Warriors at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

Wikki Tourists were defeated 3‑1 by El‑Kanemi Warriors in their last four meetings, with the most recent loss occurring on Wednesday.

Ogenyi acknowledged that his team was destined to be eliminated from the competition.

"The result is disappointing because it has brought an end to our campaign in the competition," Ogenyi said to the club’s media.

"We did our best to win and qualify for the final, but God has destined that this is how far we can go."

El‑Kanemi Warriors will face Ikorodu City in the final at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Saturday 11 July.
