Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s World Cup team, known as the Flamingos, will resume training on Sunday in preparation for their final qualifying match against the Benin Republic on the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup schedule, DAILY POST reports.
After a brief break following their decisive win over Guinea in the previous round, the Flamingos are set to return to the Remo Stars Sports Institute for a new training camp.
In the earlier tie, Nigeria defeated Guinea with an aggregate score of 11-0, winning 5-0 in the first leg and 6-0 in the second.
Benin Republic’s Young Amazons also advanced by overpowering Sierra Leone 5-1 on aggregate, securing a place against Nigeria.
The first leg of the Nigeria–Benin Republic clash will be hosted at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday, 5 July.
The return leg will take place at Stade de Kegue in Lome one week later.
The team that wins on aggregate will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, which will run from 17 October to 7 November 2026.
