Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has confirmed that Paul Onuachu is not looking to leave the club this summer, reaffirming the Nigerian forward’s loyalty to the Turkish side.

Since joining Trabzonspor on a permanent transfer from Sky Bet Championship club Southampton last summer, Onuachu has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Papara Park.

The Black Sea Storm reportedly declined a €12 million bid from a Saudi Arabian club for the Nigeria international in recent weeks.

Reports suggest that Trabzonspor would consider selling the prolific striker if a suitable offer were presented.

Doğan Confirms Offer for Onuachu

Doğan stated that Trabzonspor had rejected an offer for Onuachu and highlighted the former Genk striker’s strong affection for the Turkish Super Lig club.

“There is an offer for Paul Onuachu, but he loves the club and does not intend to leave,” Doğan was quoted by Fanatik.

“An offer of close to €20 million came for Paul Onuachu, we did not accept.”

Remarkable Campaign for Trabzonspor

Onuachu had an outstanding 2025/26 season with Trabzonspor, playing a key role in the club’s third‑place finish in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 32‑year‑old finished as the league’s joint top scorer alongside Istanbul Başakşehir’s Eldor Shomurodov.

The Nigerian also contributed significantly to Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup triumph, scoring twice in the 2‑1 victory over Konyaspor in the final.
