Victor Osimhen rose from the streets of Olusosun in Lagos to become one of the highest-paid footballers in the world in what is one of the biggest success stories in African football, Afrik-Foot reports.
As of June 2026, the Galatasaray and Super Eagles striker is estimated to be worth around $30 million, placing him among the richest active African footballers.
The 27-year-old forward has seen his wealth grow rapidly following his permanent move from Napoli to Galatasaray in July 2025. His earnings now come from football salaries, bonuses, image rights, endorsement deals, investments and luxury assets spread across Nigeria and Europe.

Osimhen’s financial fortunes reached a new level when Galatasaray completed his permanent signing from Napoli for €75 million in July 2025.
The deal tied him to the Turkish champions until June 2029 and made him the highest-paid player in Turkish football history.
His importance to Galatasaray has continued to grow. During the 2025-26 season, he helped the club win another Süper Lig title and made history by becoming the fastest player ever to score 50 goals for the club, reaching the milestone in just 59 appearances in January 2026.
Despite interest from top European clubs, Galatasaray have stood firm. Reports claim the Turkish giants rejected a €125 million offer from an unnamed club and a €120 million approach from Atletico Madrid.
Club president Dursun Özbek has repeatedly insisted that Osimhen is not for sale. Galatasaray are even planning to hand him the iconic No. 9 shirt and the captain’s armband following the expected departure of Mauro Icardi.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are still believed to be monitoring the Nigerian striker closely, but Galatasaray view him as the centrepiece of their long-term project.

The largest part of Osimhen’s fortune comes directly from his Galatasaray contract. The Nigerian striker reportedly earns a net salary of €15 million per season, which translates to roughly $16.5 million annually.
His weekly wage is estimated at around €295,000 net, or approximately $320,000 every week. In addition to his salary, he receives a guaranteed €1 million loyalty bonus every season.
Another major financial advantage in his current contract is image rights compensation. Unlike his time at Napoli, where individual sponsorship opportunities were heavily restricted, Osimhen now enjoys complete control over his personal brand.
As part of his agreement with Galatasaray, he reportedly receives an additional €5 million every year specifically for image rights. These figures alone place him among the highest-earning footballers outside Europe’s traditional top five leagues.

Away from football, Osimhen has built an impressive commercial portfolio. His endorsement earnings are estimated to generate between $6 million and $8 million annually. One of his biggest partnerships remains his long-running deal with Nike, which supplies his boots and sportswear.
The Super Eagles vice-captain also secured a reported $1.7 million advertising agreement with Turkish snacks giant Ülker, one of the biggest commercial deals involving a footballer in Turkey.
In Africa, he serves as a major ambassador for fintech company Moniepoint, a partnership reportedly worth several million dollars. Osimhen has also worked with Puma and international hygiene brand Dettol, expanding his commercial appeal across different markets.
The freedom to negotiate and manage these deals independently has significantly boosted his overall income since leaving Napoli.

Osimhen has invested much of his earnings into real estate and business ventures. He owns a luxury mansion in Ikoyi, Lagos, as well as premium properties in a number of European cities.
His car collection includes a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon worth more than $150,000, a Porsche 911 and several customised luxury SUVs.
The striker has also invested in agriculture and property development in western Nigeria while continuing to support youth football projects in Lagos through charitable initiatives.
Financial estimates suggest the main pillars of his wealth include:
- Galatasaray salary: $16.5 million annually
- Guaranteed bonuses: $1.1 million annually
- Image rights payments: $5.4 million annually
- Commercial endorsements: $3.5 million and above annually
These streams contribute to an estimated net worth of $30 million.
However, Moroccan star and reigning African Footballer of the Year Achraf Hakimi remains ahead financially. The Paris Saint-Germain defender is estimated to be worth around $40 million, largely because of high-paying spells at Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and PSG.
Hakimi has enjoyed elite-level salaries since 2018, while Osimhen’s biggest financial breakthrough came much later during his final years at Napoli and his blockbuster move to Galatasaray.
Even so, the Nigerian striker’s earning power continues to rise rapidly. If he maintains his current form and commercial growth, his net worth could increase significantly before his Galatasaray contract expires in June 2029.
