In a statement, the Command said: “On June 27, 2026, a combined team of Police operatives attached to Song Divisional Police Headquarters and local hunters successfully rescued a kidnapped victim, Alhaji Rabe Suleiman, a resident of Roma Village, Suktu District, Song Local Government Area.”

Signed by Adamawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer Suleiman Nguroje, the statement read: “Overpowered by the superior firepower and tactical response of the security team, the kidnappers fled into the surrounding mountains with suspected bullet wounds, abandoning the victim who was rescued unhurt.”
Items recovered at the scene included one Beretta pistol, one live round of Beretta ammunition, one torchlight, one small bag, suspected charms and food items.
The rescued victim was taken to a medical facility for examination and has since been reunited with his family, the police said.
