NWFL Playoff: Edo Queens Lead After Abia Angels Rout

Edo Queens climbed to the top of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) playoff standings after a decisive 6‑2 win over Abia Angels on Wednesday.

The 2024 champions secured their second victory in the competition.

Moses Aduku’s side now have six points from three matches, positioning them well to claim the title for a second time.

Chioma Moses opened the scoring for Edo Queens in the third minute and finished the match with four goals.

Precious Oscar and Atume Doosuur also found the net for the Benin City club.

Abia Angels, making their playoff debut, scored through Mariam Abdulrasheed and Blessing Saleh.
