NNL: Lobi Stars Postpone Resumption of 2026/27 Season

Lobi Stars have announced a new start date for the 2026-27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The players and their officials were originally scheduled to begin pre‑season training today.

They will now return to camp on Sunday, 28 June 2026.

Full training activities will commence on Monday, 29 June, according to the Makurdi club.

The change will give coaches time to finalise pre‑season plans and logistics before the squad takes to the pitch.

Lobi Stars are intent on making a statement in the NNL next season after a frustrating campaign.

The Pride of Benue struggled for consistency last term and missed out on promotion to the NPFL.

Daily Post reports that Lobi Stars are currently conducting a talent hunt for their youth team across Benue State, looking for players who can strengthen the senior squad in the future.
