Rufai Oseni, an anchor on Arise Television, claimed that the lawsuit challenging the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) was arranged to undermine the opposition before the 2027 general elections.

During an appearance on The Morning Show on Arise Television on Monday, Oseni said the lawsuit’s timing raised concerns, as it was filed two days after Peter Obi joined the NDC.

Oseni said the case followed a pattern he described as familiar, noting that similar legal challenges had targeted opposition parties in recent months.

He questioned the circumstances, arguing that the groups now contesting the party’s registration had not previously raised objections.
