Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State said that President Bola Tinubu cannot be present in all 36 states simultaneously to fight crime.

Ododo added that he remains one of Tinubu’s “foot soldiers” in his own state, working to reduce criminal activity.

He made the comments while touring the new 21 Battalion Barracks in Anyigba, Kogi East.

Ododo praised the military personnel for their hard work and dedication to protecting residents and their homes, noting that the presence of the battalion has increased local confidence and a sense of security.

“I am here today to thank all the brave officers who are giving their time and effort every day to make sure that our people can sleep peacefully at night,” he said.

“Since you arrived, the security conditions in Kogi East have changed a lot. The places where criminal activities happen have been closed down, and we’ll keep looking for them until they can’t hide anymore.”

“The president has kindly approved that air support will be available whenever it is needed,” Ododo added.

“The President can’t be in every single state at the same time fighting criminals, so we act as his helpers on the ground.”

“With this air support clearance, the chances of surviving as a criminal in Kogi have significantly decreased.”
