Governor Agbu Kefas has confirmed the appointment of all former State Executive Committee members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State as Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants.

The appointments were announced on Monday in Jalingo by the party’s state chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa. Governor Kefas described the decision as a sign of inclusiveness and political unity.

Bawa rejected claims that long‑standing APC members had been sidelined within the party. He noted that of the current 18‑member State Working Committee, only six are new entrants; the rest are founding stakeholders who helped build the party in the state.

He praised Governor Kefas as a compassionate and fair‑minded leader committed to justice, equity, and inclusive governance.

Bawa added that the governor’s history of appointing people from across the political spectrum—including APC members before his defection—demonstrates a commitment to unity and to advancing the collective interests of Taraba State.

Former APC Organising Secretary Apolos Jediel, speaking on behalf of the appointees, thanked Governor Kefas for the recognition and confidence placed in them.

Jediel said the appointments have strengthened their ties to the party and given them greater opportunities to engage directly with APC stakeholders in their constituencies.

He also expressed deep gratitude to the governor and pledged the group’s unwavering loyalty, dedication, and support for the successful implementation of the administration’s policies and programmes.
