 Clubs with highest number of players at World Cup

Manchester City will have 19 players who last played a competitive club match for them representing their national teams at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

This number is the highest for any club in English football and the most of any club worldwide as the tournament approaches.

In total, 17 clubs have 10 or more players at the World Cup who last played for them. Five of those clubs are based in England.

Manchester City tops the global list with 19 representatives, surpassing several European giants and underscoring the depth of talent at elite clubs.

Arsenal and Paris Saint‑Germain are tied for second place, each with 17 players who last represented them before joining their national squads. The French club’s ranking comes just days after defeating Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final.

Bayern Munich follows closely with 18 players, while Barcelona rounds out the top five with 15.

Other clubs also contribute significantly to the World Cup talent pool. Crystal Palace and Manchester United each have 12 players represented, as do Saudi Arabia’s Al‑Hilal and Spain’s Atlético Madrid.

Liverpool is represented by 11 players, a figure matched by Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray.

The list of clubs with 10 or more players represented also includes Slavia Prague, AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe.
