Chelle predicts Portugal will win their first World Cup title.

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has expressed confidence that Portugal will win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to DAILY POST.

The Seleção das Quinas are aiming for their first title as the tournament is staged across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

With a squad full of talent, Portugal has been named by pundits as one of the favourites for the trophy.

Chelle, whose team is set to play a friendly against the former European champions tonight, said he supports Roberto Martínez’s side in their quest for a first World Cup win.

“This team, in one month, can be the next world champion. This is a big chance for us to play against Portugal in their country,” Chelle told a press conference.

Portugal have been drawn into Group K, where they will face DR Congo, Uzbekistan and Colombia.
