Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has warned Portugal that their side does not care who they are facing ahead of the international friendly on Wednesday night.

The Beşiktaş midfielder said the Super Eagles will not be intimidated when they meet Portugal at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria.

Portugal enter the match as clear favourites on home soil, boasting stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, while Nigeria will be without Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.

Speaking at his pre‑match press conference, Ndidi told reporters, “We believe in ourselves.”

“We don’t care who we are playing, even if we’re playing the likes of the biggest countries in the world.”

“But the most important thing is we, as players, as a team, which is very important, and we look forward to taking our philosophy and our strategy to the game.”
