Bandits abduct mother and child in new attack in Kogi.

On Wednesday evening, suspected bandits entered the Ijalu area of Egbe in Yagba West Local Government Area, Kogi State, and abducted a woman and her toddler. The victims, Mrs. Idowu Kemi Titilayo and her young child, were taken by the attackers while they were on the Solid Rock School axis of the community.

The assailants reportedly arrived at dusk, firing intermittently and creating panic that forced many residents to flee for safety. At the time of this report, the State Police Command had not yet commented on the incident.

This latest abduction adds to ongoing concerns about kidnappings and violent attacks in the North‑Central region of the country.
