Paris Saint-Germain are set to clash with Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest today — Saturday,  30 May, 2026.

The two sides are looking to win the biggest club competition in Europe after clinching the top-flight title in their respective leagues.

Teams’ Form And Recent Performances

PSG

Following their Ligue 1 title victory, PSG are eyeing another major honour as the Champions League trophy lies on the horizon.

Just like last season, the defending champions failed to secure automatic qualification for the Round of 16 after finishing 11th in the standings, following four wins, two draws and two defeats in the League Phase.

Luis Enrique’s men battled fellow French side AS Monaco in the play-off round and progressed to the last 16 after winning 5-4 on aggregate.

The Parisians won all but one of their games in the knockout stages, with the exception being a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.

The French giants are seeking to become the first side other than Real Madrid (2016-18) to successfully defend the trophy in the Champions League era (1992-93 onwards).

Arsenal

Arsenal go into this showpiece with plenty of confidence, having lifted the Premier League title last Sunday to end their 22-year wait for the championship.

The Gunners finished the 2025/26 season on 85 points, seven ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who had overtaken them at the top of the standings in April.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side responded positively to the 2-1 loss with five successive victories, while City dropped points along the way.

Arsenal are set for another seismic clash in the Champions League as PSG stand between them and a first-ever European crown.

The north London outfit are yet to taste defeat in the competition, having won 11 matches and drawn three so far.

This is Arsenal’s second Champions League final in history after the 2005/06 edition, which they lost to Barcelona. They could join the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Saturday’s opponents by winning the trophy at their second attempt in the final.

Arsenal would become the fourth English side to win the Champions League title while going unbeaten, after Liverpool (1980/81 and 1983/84), Manchester United (1998/99 and 2007/08) and Manchester City (2022/23).

Head-To-Head Statistics

PSG and Arsenal have met on seven occasions, with both sides recording two victories each, while three matches have ended in draws.

Three of those clashes came during the 2024/25 Champions League campaign. Arsenal won 2-0 in the League Phase, while the Parisians defeated the Gunners home and away in the semi-finals en route to winning the competition.

Key Players Analysis

PSG

Ousmane Dembele

Dembele is a dynamic, two-footed winger known for his explosive acceleration, elite dribbling ability and unpredictability in one-on-one situations.

The 29-year-old Ballon d’Or winner has scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions this season.

The France international scored PSG’s lone goal against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final last season.

Arsenal

Viktor Gyokeres

Gyokeres has emerged as a very important player for Arsenal following a slow start to the season.

Declan Rice

Rice has been a key member of Arsenal’s team, thanks to his strong defensive qualities, including tackling, ball-winning ability and positional awareness.

The 27-year-old has contributed five goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season.

The French star has since stated that he will be fit to lead the line alongside Désiré Doué and Kvaratskhelia in the Champions League final against Arsenal.
