Danish‑born Nigerian striker William Osula has attracted interest from newly crowned Europa League champions Aston Villa, according to Football Insider. The Newcastle United forward, who has struggled for regular game time under Eddie Howe, is now emerging as the manager’s first‑choice centre‑forward as the season draws to a close.
Osula has answered Howe’s confidence, scoring five goals in his last six appearances for Newcastle. Several Premier League clubs are monitoring his availability, with Aston Villa among those expressing interest, as revealed on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast. Newcastle, however, are reluctant to let him depart during the summer window, especially amid potential departures of other high‑profile players from St James’ Park.
Interest in Osula is not new. Eintracht Frankfurt previously made a £28.5 million bid for a loan with an option to buy, which Newcastle rejected on Deadline Day last summer.
