Arsenal Must Play with Clarity and Determination to Beat PSG in UCL Final – Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said the team must play with clarity, courage and an unwavering desire to win if they are to claim their first European Cup in Saturday’s Champions League final against PSG.

He added that while the squad earned their place in the final through their performances, they must earn the right to lift the trophy on the pitch.

“We’re focused, positive. We are here because we have the right to be here. Tomorrow on the field, we’re going to have to earn the right to lift the trophy.”

“We have the opportunity to write a new chapter; we have to play with a lot of clarity and desire to win. Winning the Champions League would be something new for all of us. It’s tough to write new history at Arsenal, and that’s what we’re aiming for.”

“We have won a title, but we want to win more. There always has to be a platform to earn more. I want the players to be confident we can go and do it.”

“They want more. After you lift the trophy, you want to reproduce that feeling as many times as possible.”

Arsenal were unsuccessful against PSG in last year’s semi‑final, but Arteta highlighted some positives from those matches.

“When I watch the games back, I was very pleased with what I saw. We were close, unlucky not to go into that final. Tomorrow we’ll play a different game I’m sure,” the Spaniard said.
