Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi visited the 2027 African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar on Monday.
Amaechi, who previously served as governor of Rivers State, stopped by Atiku’s residence in Abuja.
At the house were ADC chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo, a veteran Nollywood actor, and other dignitaries.
Daily Post reports that the details of the visit had not yet been released at the time of publication.
Amaechi had contested the ADC presidential primary against Atiku and Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen. The former Vice President won the primary, Amaechi placed second, and Hayatu‑Deen came third.
Both Amaechi and Hayatu‑Deen later criticized the conduct of the election, saying it was not free and fair.
Following the primary, Atiku visited Amaechi and Hayatu‑Deen, urging them to join forces with him in “rescuing Nigeria.”
