Yul Edochie says he has never stopped anyone from seeing their children.

Actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has responded to social media requests asking him to intervene in a dispute involving his wife, Judy Austin, her former husband Emmanuel Obasi, and their children.

In a post on his social media account, Edochie clarified that he has never barred anyone from seeing their children and that he is not involved in the matter.

He said any arrangements about child access should be negotiated directly between Obasi and Austin.

“Some of my fans have reached out to me, saying, ‘Please allow him to see his children.’ I have never stopped anybody from seeing his children. Tell him to call his ex-wife if he wants to see or take his children; let them discuss it. He has her number. It has nothing to do with me,” Edochie wrote.

He also criticized what he called the growing trend of people seeking attention and revenue on social media by involving his name in personal disputes.

His response followed Emmanuel Obasi, Austin’s former husband, making a series of allegations in an emotional podcast interview that sparked widespread online reactions.

In the podcast, Obasi claimed that Austin’s admiration for Edochie exceeded that of a typical fan while they were still married.

“I’m the former husband to Judy Austin, Yul Edochie’s wife. We have two children together,” Obasi said. “Anytime we were watching television and Yul Edochie appeared on the screen, Judy would stop paying attention to everything else. She would tell me directly that she loved Yul and would keep praising him. I have evidence that they were dating under my roof.”

He also showed old wedding and family photographs during the interview.

However, Austin has repeatedly denied that she had a romantic relationship with Edochie while married to Obasi.

She said her marriage to Obasi ended in March 2013 and that her relationship with Edochie began years later.

Since Edochie publicly introduced Austin as his second wife, the issue has continued to provoke intense public debate, eliciting reactions from fans, celebrities, and social commentators.
