Victor Osimhen may have completed his permanent move to Galatasaray, but Napoli still have strong reasons to monitor every transfer development involving the Nigerian striker, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Turkish champions recently completed the full €75 million payment agreed with Napoli for Osimhen’s transfer. Galatasaray paid €40 million upfront before adding two further instalments of €17.5 million each, allowing the club to settle the entire fee ahead of schedule.
While the payment closes the transfer between both clubs, Napoli ensured they would remain connected to Osimhen’s future through several clauses inserted into the agreement by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The most significant of those clauses is a 10 per cent sell-on fee based on profit generated from any future transfer. Unlike a traditional sell-on agreement that applies to the total transfer fee, Napoli’s percentage is calculated only on the profit Galatasaray makes above the original €75 million purchase price.

Victor Osimhen: Chelsea and Atletico Madrid show interest
Interest in Victor Osimhen has intensified following another outstanding campaign in Turkey and Europe.
Turkish transfer insider Ali Naci Küçük revealed that Atletico Madrid are among the clubs making enquiries about the striker, while several intermediaries have informed Galatasaray they could bring official offers worth between €110 million and €120 million.
Chelsea have also renewed their pursuit of the former Napoli star. Reports indicate the Premier League club have already made contact with Galatasaray to understand the financial requirements needed to secure a deal.
Despite the growing interest, Galatasaray have made their position clear. The club considers Osimhen untouchable unless an offer exceeds €150 million and the player personally requests a transfer.

The figures coming from agents and club managers are 120 million €. If sold, Napoli also gets a 10% share of the profit. I think selling him would be a mistake.”
The financial structure explains Galatasaray’s reluctance to negotiate. If a club were to pay €120 million, the Turkish champions would record a profit of €45 million above the original €75 million fee. Under the agreement, Napoli would receive 10 per cent of that amount, equivalent to €4.5 million.
Napoli therefore remain interested observers because every increase in Osimhen’s market value could generate additional income for the Serie A side.

Any sale to an Italian club before 2027 would trigger severe financial penalties, making Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and foreign contenders like Atletico Madrid more realistic destinations.
With Galatasaray having no financial pressure to sell after completing the €75 million payment structure, and Osimhen reportedly keen to remain in Istanbul for at least another season, any transfer would require an extraordinary offer.
The Super Eagles striker is currently on vacation and will not be involved as Nigeria face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal this evening.
