Chelsea have confirmed that Richard Olise will leave the club at the end of his contract on 30 June 2026, after a ten‑year association with the club.

The player is among those listed for release following the conclusion of the 2025‑26 season.

Olise, the younger brother of Michael Olise—who was invited to join the Super Eagles in 2021 but opted to play for France—has progressed through every age group of Chelsea’s academy, joining at the U9 level.

He was first named in the first‑team squad for a UEFA Conference League fixture against Astana during the 2024‑25 season, but his final campaign saw him make only four starts for the development squad across all competitions.

Regarded as a calm and reliable defender, Olise is praised for his composure, tactical awareness and ability to contribute both defensively and offensively, qualities that align with the modern full‑back profile.

Born in London, the 21‑year‑old has represented England at the U18 level and is now preparing to pursue the next step in his career following his departure from Stamford Bridge.
