The United States and Iran had scheduled talks for Friday, but the meetings have been postponed.
The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the change in a statement released on Friday.
The ministry said that preparations for future talks are still underway in Bürgenstock, although it did not disclose a new date.
“The planned talks between the U.S., Iran, Qatar and Pakistan have been postponed. Switzerland remains ready to facilitate these talks,” the ministry added.
“The relevant preparatory work at Bürgenstock is continuing. No further information can be provided at present,” it said.
In related news, the White House announced late Thursday that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance would not travel to Switzerland for the initial negotiations on implementing the memorandum of understanding with Iran.
