Iran Warns U.S. to Be Cautious After Trump’s Threat

Iran issued a stern warning to the United States after President Donald Trump threatened to strike the Islamic Republic over its support for Hezbollah.

The warning came while the two nations were in Switzerland negotiating a permanent end to the Middle East war.

The talks aim to trigger a 60‑day period during which broader issues that have long troubled U.S.–Iran relations could be resolved.

However, disagreements over key sticking points and the possibility of renewed fighting in Lebanon weighed heavily on the negotiations, as the U.S. and Iran exchanged threats alongside their discussions.

“They would do better to be careful with their statements; our armed forces are ready to respond to them in a different manner. No matter what they say, we are the ones who act,” said Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

Earlier, President Trump had warned that he would strike Iran if it did not immediately stop its highly paid proxies in Lebanon from causing trouble.
