Former Turkish Süper Lig champions Trabzonspor are closely linked with a move for Super Eagles hopeful Rafiu Durosinmi to strengthen their attack for the upcoming season, according to Afrik-Foot.
After securing an impressive third‑place finish in the recently concluded Süper Lig campaign, the club’s management is determined to reinforce its frontline ahead of a demanding schedule.
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has been the team’s main attacking weapon this term, netting 24 goals and providing two assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

With the Black Sea Storm set to compete in the UEFA Europa League next season, squad depth will be crucial to handling the congested fixture list.
Onuachu’s future at Papara Park remains uncertain amid strong interest from Saudi Arabian clubs and teams across Europe’s top five leagues. Consequently, securing attacking reinforcements has become a top priority.

However, the move has not gone as planned. Pisa has been relegated from Serie A, and Durosinmi has struggled to find his footing, contributing just one goal and one assist in 12 appearances.

According to Italian transfer expert Nicolò Schira, Trabzonspor have already “opened talks” to finalize a deal for the forward. While Pisa’s exact asking price remains unconfirmed, they are expected to demand a fee close to the €9 million they invested in January.
Despite his recent struggles in Italy, Durosinmi’s impressive track record at Viktoria Plzeň precedes him. During his time in the Czech Republic, he registered 35 goals and 10 assists in 86 appearances, showcasing his physical power, pressing ability, and clinical finishing.

Despite the setback, there have been growing calls for him to be integrated into the Nigerian national team. A fresh start at Trabzonspor could be exactly what Durosinmi needs to rediscover his best form and earn his maiden Super Eagles call‑up.
