During his stay in France, Tinubu met with international investors, stressing the importance of transparency and fiscal discipline while outlining the reasoning behind his administration’s rapid implementation of bold economic reforms.
He also took part in the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, which was co‑hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto.
At the summit, Tinubu called for a re‑design of global financial structures and urged stronger economic integration that would prioritize Africa’s growth and prosperity.
He highlighted Nigeria’s potential in the blue economy as a key pillar of African development and pledged to share the country’s maritime intelligence infrastructure with willing Gulf of Guinea states.
While in Nairobi, Tinubu held a bilateral meeting with Madagascar’s President Michael Randrianirina.
In Kigali, Rwanda, he joined other African leaders, investors and CEOs of global and African companies at the Africa CEO Forum, where participants discussed practical strategies to accelerate the continent’s economic transformation through shared scale, regional integration and increased cross‑border investment.
Tinubu also met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame and engaged with delegations from multilateral and multinational firms, including the International Finance Corporation, APM Terminals and the Winme Group, achieving notable positive outcomes.
He participated in panels and discussions that highlighted his administration’s economic reform agenda.
Back in Lagos, Tinubu will take part in the All Progressives Congress primary elections, which begin on Saturday.
In a statement to party members, he urged all participants to “keep the peace and be ready to play as sportsmen and women in the overall interest of the party and our country.”
