Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni has denied claims of a serious split with teammate Federico Valverde, saying the media have blown the situation out of proportion.
He acknowledged that disagreements can arise in football, but stated in an interview with L’Équipe that the club knows the truth and that the issue has been resolved.

“What bothered me were the false stories that came out compared to what actually happened. I can’t do anything about that. The most important thing is that in the locker room, we’re cool, we’re relaxed,” Tchouaméni told L’Équipe.
“No matter what happens in your life, the problem is never as big as you think it is.”
“Like everything, today people talk about this, tomorrow they’ll talk about something else. You just have to get through the two or three days when there’s a buzz.”
“This story got so big that for the first two or three days, it felt like it would never end. But actually, after two or three days, someone says something crazy or another story comes up and you move on,” the player said, noting that he feels he has reached a new level at Real Madrid this season.
