Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle says his side is battle‑ready for the Unity Cup final against Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz, DAILY POST reports.
The three‑time African champions will meet Jamaica for a third time in the tournament’s final, which will take place at the Valley on Saturday.
The two teams drew 2‑2 in regulation during last year’s final before the Super Eagles won 5‑4 on penalties.
Chelle emphasized that his squad is fully prepared to handle any situation that may arise during Saturday’s match.
“Penalties are part of the game, and they can decide who wins a match. Every time I go into a game, I have the mentality to win,” Chelle told thenff.com.
“This is the culture I have put in these boys – the winning culture. I don’t know if Saturday’s game will end in penalties; what I know is that I have prepared my team to win.”
The encounter will kick off at 5:30 p.m. Nigeria time and will be preceded by the third‑place play‑off between Zimbabwe and India.
