Nigeria’s U‑17 Women’s World Cup qualifying team, the Flamingos, will resume training on Sunday as they prepare for their final‑round match against the Benin Republic. The preparation is part of the campaign to secure a berth at the 2026 FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup, according to Completesports.com.
The squad will be based at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne.
After a decisive 11‑0 aggregate win over Guinea in the previous qualifying round, Akeem Busari’s side was granted a brief respite. The Flamingos won the first leg 5‑0 and capped the tie with a 6‑0 victory in the return match.

Benin Republic earned a place in the final qualifying round with a 5‑1 aggregate triumph over Sierra Leone. The Young Amazons took the first leg 3‑0 at the Stade de Kegue and won the return fixture 2‑1.
Nigeria will host the first leg at the Remo Stars Sports Complex from July 3 to 5. The reverse fixture will take place at the Stade de Kegue one week later.
The aggregate winner will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, scheduled to run from 17 October to 7 November 2026.
