LaLiga: Rashford to return to Man Utd after Barcelona declines €30 million fee

Marcus Rashford is expected to return to Manchester United after Barcelona declined to activate the €30 million buy‑out clause in his loan agreement.

The England striker spent the previous season on loan at the La Liga champions, where he recorded 13 goals and 10 assists.

Despite his contributions, Barcelona chose not to exercise the option to make the move permanent.

Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano posted on X: “Barcelona will NOT pay €30m buy option clause for Marcus Rashford, expiring in 5 days. Rashford formally set to return to Man United but Barca remain open to new solutions, like another loan deal. Barca are open to discuss again if #MUFC open doors.”
