Sporting Lagos signs Ugwu from Abia Warriors in the NPFL.

Sporting Lagos has finalized the signing of midfielder Valentine Ugwu for the 2026-27 season, the DAILY POST reports.

The midfielder joined Sporting Lagos from Abia Warriors.

Ugwu’s arrival is expected to deepen Sporting Lagos’ midfield ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Ugwu netted once in 14 NPFL appearances for Abia Warriors last season.

Sporting Lagos plans to further strengthen its squad with additional new signings to compete effectively in the NPFL.

The club is returning to the NPFL after spending several years in the Nigeria National League.
